Position Summary: CCA’s Youth Services Department is seeking a qualified administrative professional to oversee the facility operations and administration of CCA’s Seeds to Roots Youth Action Center located in Brownsville, Brooklyn. 

This position is fully in person at the center Monday through Fridays 10 – 6pm.

Direct Supervisor: Senior Director of Community Programs

Responsibilities:

Outreach and Client Facing Services (75%) 

  •  Outreach to and maintain engagement with participants across all departmental programming 
  • Conduct intakes with new participants and document youth’s contact information, employment experience, and employment plans  
  • Assist participants with action plans, transitional plans, and address employment barriers (resume, cover letter, certifications, photo ID, birth certificate) 
  •  Maintain contact with contracted facilitators for participant progress and support areas 
  • Complete weekly outreach goals for participants enrolled in the Education and Employment Department’s programs 
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners, including contracted facilitators, regarding participant engagement and develop participant outreach strategies and share with the Career Readiness Coordinator 
  • Support team in the research and development of Curriculum and Professional Development Training  
  • Outreach to potential Internship Subcontractors.  

 Administration, Data Collection and Reporting (25%) 

  •  Report participant demographic, programmatic, and milestone data in all internal databases, including QuickBase; ensure Director of Education and Career Readiness Coordinator is updated regularly on participant engagement    
  • Generate and save all participant documentation group and 1:1 notes; intakes; outreach attempts and contacts; resumes and cover letters; save and track in all internal trackers, including Quickbase 
  • Complete internal weekly reports, as required by Director of Career Readiness 
  • Attend and participate in weekly department meetings 

 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in youth development, social work or related field preferred but not required
  • At least 2 years’ experience working directly with youth and/or young adults
  • Awareness of trauma-informed approaches, positive youth development and restorative practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication and advocacy skills
  • Excellent community-building, outreach and networking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and teambuilding skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a major plus
