Position Summary: Coordinate and supervise students participating in the After School Program who attend PSLA @Fowler High School (During school days, Monday through Friday 2:00pm-5:30pm). Work collaboratively with the youth services team, to connect and engage with youth in the program. Assist with the development and implementation of enrichment activities. Maintain accurate and up to date required documentation. Provide support for field trips and outings with participants. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor (Program Coordinator).

Direct Supervisor: Director of Youth Services

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit youth for participation in after-school enrichment programs.
  • Conduct student intakes.
  • Assist consultants and staff in the implementation of the after-school programming.
  • Act as liaison with CCA staff, consultants, school district staff, and parents.
  •  Monitor and encourage youth participation.
  • Promote and encourage parent participation in the program.
  • Maintain parent/guardian contact and communication
  • Maintain attendance records and keep organized files for each program participant.
  • Coordinate the daily routine of the program and supervise students enrolled during the program and at dismissal time.

Qualifications:

  • An AS degree or higher in Education or Human Services preferred. 
  • Equivalent professional and academic experience may substitute for degree. 
  • Demonstrate cultural competency and youth engagement skills.
  • Position requires a background check clearance by the NYS Department of Education.
