Position Summary: The Program Manager/Assistant is responsible for assisting in a housing program's day-to-day operations and administration. This role includes coordinating housing services, supporting client intake, managing program logistics, and ensuring compliance with housing policies and regulations. The position works closely with the Director of housing, housing program staff, and property manager to achieve program goals.

Direct Supervisor: Program Director

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning, executing, and overseeing housing programs, ensuring that program goals and objectives are met.
  • Ensure program compliance with local, state, and federal housing regulations.
  • Completion of timecards.
  • Covering open shifts when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate program records, including client files, housing, and service documentation.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings and other program-related events.
  • Assist with preparing reports, presentations, and other materials.
  • Foster positive relationships with community partners, service providers, and community agencies.
  • Attend and participate in meetings and training sessions within the organization and community as required.

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3 years’ experience supervisor experiences
  • Experience working in housing programs, case management, or social services.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in office software, such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of local housing resources and community services.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with diverse and vulnerable populations.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to handle sensitive and complex situations.
  • HMIS/Service Point knowledge
